Sunburn Warning!
What is there to do?
Fort Macon State Park has picnic shelters,showers, and dressing rooms. There is enough parking for several hundred cars. The beach has lifeguards. Bring down your cabanas, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and beach blankets.The state park has a Civil War Fort to explore and a snack bar and is close to other venues.
In addition to the swimming, eating, games, and other fun socializing at the ward activity, some members may choose to go down the night before or see a couple sights during the day. Here are a few suggestions for the area:
$8 dollars Adults, 6$ Children 6-17, 5 and under FREE for admission. Its within 15 minutes from the activity.
The NC Maritime Museum See how ships are made, look at the seashell collection and get to know the seafares historical experience.
Walk on the waterfront or explore the historic buildings on Downtown Beaufort.
Enjoy the history and ambiance of or The Old Burying Ground Graveyard, a great place to tellghost stories.
